Porcelain Figurine – The Perfect Gift for a Friend

There are lots of times that you're looking for the perfect gift for a friend – their birthday, anniversary, a get well encouragement, a new baby or a special housewarming gift. While practical gifts are always appreciated I like to give a special high-quality keepsake gift for very special occasions. So I always look for a lovely porcelain figurine. With the many different brands and types of figurines on the market today, it's easy to find a figurine that's appropriate to the occasion and signifies the gift recipients personal interests.

For example I recently had dear friends and former neighbors who sold their home and moved to a condo in a nearby community. These folks loved western decor. But because they moved from a 3,500 square foot single-family home to a 1,200 square foot condo, they had to leave many of their large pieces of western decor behind. In fact they had a large yard sale where most of their home furnishings were quickly bought.

Yes there new home is lovely and perfectly finished but it does lack some of the quirky originality that filled their home. There is no home bar featuring an authentic western saddle. So when my husband and I visited we brought them a small cowboy figurine. We put a not with it that wished them a lot of fun starting their new much smaller western collection. They got quite a kick out of that and they were happy to prominently display their western figurine.
