Most Expensive Cellphones in the World
With the financial markets crashing and governments around the world pouring untold billions into the system to keep it afloat, you would not think thee would be a market for insanely expensive cellphones, but you would be wrong. This is a selection of recently released cellphones. In no particular order.
The Vertu Boucheron 150
Solid gold case and costing a cool $30,000, the Vertu Boucheron 150 comes housed in a Noce Pedullo walnut tree wooden case made by Reuge which plays the Vertu ringtone as you open it. With a sapphire crystal keypad and featuring 3G connectivity, the Vertu took 1000 hours to cut, 700 hours to hand polish and 500 hours to hand build. Frank Nuovo, principal designer for Vertu, states that the styling of the phone is intended to go beyond all expectations in creating the most stunning design a phone has carried to date.
DeVere Black iPhone
Possibly the most ridiculous waste of money ever, the DeVere diamond-studded iPhone comes without the diamonds. Philip de Vere himself felt that the iPhone looked more stripped down, bare and beautiful when the diamonds weren’t there. Therefore you have an iPhone without the diamonds but costing almost as much. The shiny metal bezel has been swapped and in its place is a black one. The entire package with 16GB, unlocked and black handset would set you back by $1,200. Seriously?…….. The y do have a range of diamond studded ones though, so if you are still set on having one, don't fret.

Nokia has launched its latest craft-piece called the Nokia 8800 Carbon Arte. It has interesting materials in the making such as carbon fibre, titanium, polished glass and stainless steel to give it an arty look. But the USP of the product is that it is in 24k yellow gold. At £ 2099, it is perhaps no too overpriced
